Did you know that this Easter is the earliest that almost the entire world has seen it and none of us will ever see it this early again? My uncle sent me this email a couple weeks back, very interesting: Easter this year is: Sunday March 23, 2008 As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are the facts: The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!). The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

Just wanted to quickly write that our little man said his first word today!! The funny thing is that it was my first word too ;) Today as I was getting ready for our lunch, I was telling Aiden that it was time to eat. He was chattering something, as usual, when I adjusted my ear and I realized that he was telling me "eat" back. I then continued to say it to him and he would reply back to me. I was so excited to share this with Carl, and at dinnertime Aiden was only too happy to oblige and share his new word with his Daddy. We think "eat" is perfect for Aiden's first word since he loves all things food. He is such a good eater and eats whatever we put in front of him!! I will try capture his new accomplishment on video and post it this week. Our little guy is just growing so fast!

...the stomach flu. YUCK! 3am Saturday morning I woke up feeling a little nauseaus. I got up and drank a little bit of water thinking it would just pass. I went back to bed, but couldn't fall back to sleep. I started to feel worse and worse. I think it was about 5 am when I felt that dreaded "I think I'm going to be sick". That began 24 hours of yukkies :( I was so glad that it was the weekend because my dear, sweet hubby was able to care for Aiden all day and just brought him to me when it was time to nurse (all those wonderful antibiodies to hopefully spare my son of this wretched bug), or just to ask me a question. Even though I wasn't having much fun, I think they had a great day together, they went to Lowe's to buy odds and ends we needed for the house, and I think they took a trip to walmart too... good male stuff. Sunday I stayed home from church and the boys went off by themselves. I got Aiden ready in the morning and then climbed back into bed after they left and got a great nap in. By the afternoon I was feeling pretty good and we decided to take a trip to Ikea to look at a few things and just for me to get out. Today I am pretty much normal, although I still don't have much of an appetite. I am hoping that my boys continue to stay unaffected by the bug. It's funny, I was telling Carl on our walk Friday night that I was wanting to lose a couple pounds that I still have since Christmas. He reminded me of this on Saturday, to which I replied "this is not the way that I wanted to do it!!"

We have been having some unusual weather. Two nights ago it snowed here in Texas, the first time this winter! Yesterday we enjoyed a nice 70F day. Today it is pouring with rain and more snow in the forecast for this evening through tomorrow. I have never lived somewhere where the weather changes so drastically from day to day! This week has been a busy week trying to get ready to move. We had the carpet cleaned at our new house and I spent the last couple days giving the house a good deep cleaning. The house has been kept very well, but it wasn't so clean. Hair EVERYWHERE...ugggh. Last night after dinner, we all went over to the house to take a load of things and Carl watched Aiden while I finished scrubbing the bathrooms... LOTS of elbow grease needed, I got a good workout!!! But once I was done, oh the satisfaction. I love having clean bathrooms. Today I am just cleaning the apartment, doing laundry and starting to pack (perfect for a rainy day). We left most of our stuff in boxes, so it shouldn't be too much work to pack everything. It is so nice that we are only just moving up the freeway and not to another state!! We are officially moving in on Saturday and we have some friends coming over to help us. We are so looking forward to being in our own place!!

Everything went through and on Tuesday we signed all the paperwork, picked up the keys and we now own our first home! We are just so thrilled. The Lord has guided us every step of the way and provided so abundantly. Our prayer is that we can use the house to be a blessing to others in whatever way we can. I have been wanting to update the blog with our news, but I have been sick this week and then the past 2 days I have been taking care of 2 other children. Our friends had their 3rd baby, a little boy, (the Channell's, for those of you who go to Placerita) and they needed help watching their other children while they were in the hospital. I definitely had my hands full with their 2 kiddo's and my little guy, but they all had so much fun together which made it so enjoyable for me :) This is just a quick update to share our news as my hubby needs to use the computer ;) Pictures of the house to follow soon!!

I have cleaned the bathroom, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen, tidied up the living room, vacummed the apartment, made Aiden's baby food, given him many hugs and kisses and many wipes of the nose (he has a cold). I am on my 5th load of laundry and I have already folded and put away 2. The towels are in the dryer and the sheets are the wash. Boy, I feel so productive today :) The weather outside is 80F. I think after Aiden takes his afternoon nap we are going to go to the park!! In other news the house is supposed to close tomorrow. Our loan was approved and everything seems to be going smoothly. We will let you know how it goes tomorrow!
